Omega Arms Research, LLC, (OAR) is a privately owned, small business entity, created in 2007, and still moving forward, dedicated to the creation of innovative technologies that would surpass the present existing firing systems. Since the initiation, we set strategies that would give us a good vision of the areas of opportunity of success, finding the key success factor was essential in the selection in the matter of research and development. OAR noticed that most prior technologies focus in the ones of producing the actual act of firing, and the corresponding ejection and reloading cycling. The control and management of the recoiling Newtonian energy and was left to absorbing pads and spring. That instant of chaotic explosive forces control would be to matter focus of our developments. Every piece of the mechanical system and dimension, or parameter, was checked of the desired value outcome. That determined the first element of our research, secrecy, stealth of our dealings and other elements of our research activity such as: education, physical analysis of the system, previous patents, market tendencies, economics, political aspects, legislation conflicts, new materials, FEA engineering technologies and so on…
The ABT mechanical system is an “on purpose” heavy mechanism Articulated Bolt Train (ABT) positioned internally to the receiver and reciprocating oscillating above the top of the shooter’s grabbing hand, which in the most forward position is in the horizontal posture, closing the breech, and when cycling, moves in aproximately 40 milliseconds dives reciprocally through the handle tunnel describing a negative angle of about minus 55 degrees generating a dual powerful angular moment ( gyroscopic effect ) along the XY plane which is precisely suffering a “ Barrel Torque “ reaction effect caused by twisting of the bullet at the same time, along the X axis of the Barrel. This serves to counter- balance the nocive, cumulative, twist tendency when whet firing in full automatic mode. The magnitude of the angular moment can be, by design, Pre-determined, by using the appropriate mass parameter of “diving”, “through the tunnel” part. The above is valuable contribution the resolving, in part, the disturbing barrel torque problem.

So that became the focus of our invention: A mechanical system array that would be capable of drastically controlling the recoil by delaying, redirecting forces, generating angular vectors at to same time that the recoil forces are starting to act, while slimming the gun profile and placing the center of gravity close to the grip. The grip is the portion of the firearm where you grab the gun with the controlling hand. It is good principle to try to position as much movable mass close to the supporting hand.
